Who we are

Our website address is: http://retrorocket.com.au – we are a registered business based in Western Australia – and have been trading since early 2010.

Although over the years we have traded at various markets and had a bricks and mortar shop in Dianella for five years, we now trade primarily online and our stockroom is open by appointment.

Privacy statement Retrorocket 2010 – 2024

This privacy statement discloses information we automatically gather etc. & use.

Retrorocket.com.au  gathers information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions to receive our electronic newsletters (we try to keep info we ask at a minimum). Under no circumstances does Retrorocket divulge any information about an individual user to a third party.

In addition, if you would prefer a text based newsletter,  catalogue or similar, you are welcome to contact us.

Retrorocket gathers user information in the following processes:

Usage Tracking / Cookies

Retrorocket tracks user traffic patterns throughout all of our pages via Google Analytics (GA).

However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. GA does break down overall usage statistics according to a user’s domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser). In addition, we turn all these tracking functionality off as and when we can, where we can.

Retrorocket sometimes tracks and catalogues the search terms that users enter in our Search function or by using Cookies, because we have an eCommerce site, but this tracking is never associated with individual users.
We occasionally use tracking information to determine user preferences based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you / fix our pages.

Cookies

You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you’ve set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie. As far as we are aware, you do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site.

Security

All Retrorocket website / eCommerce transactions are via a secure protocol https:// and a third party payment provider i.e. either Paypal or manual / digital bank transfer. In the very rare cases where we receive limited credit card information in-store, we destroy our copy immediately after transaction is processed, as per our bank’s privacy policy / terms of use.

Your Consent

By using this site, you consent to the collection and use of this information by retrorocket.com.au. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
